About Lockman Industries

Lockman Industries was formed in 2000 to update, revolutionize and empower the automatic door industry and its beneficiaries. Fueled by the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act of 1990 that directly challenged the mechanical and electronic capabilities of existing automatic door products, Lockman Industries addressed issues within the industry that remained virtually unchanged since its inception in the 1950’s. As a result, company founders, Joyce and Ed Lockman and Scott Peck, recognized the opportunity to surpass current ADA standards as well as address additional obstacles such as door speed safety, operating noise levels and manual door operation. In doing so, Lockman Industries has designed swing door and sliding door operators that outshine the competition.

Today, Lockman Industries continues to build upon the initial challenge set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 by always striving to improve the mechanical and electrical interface aspects of its swing and sliding door operators by empowering its customers, distributors and end-users.
